Margaret Hudson Braun

SAVANNAH - Margaret "Mickey" Hudson Braun, 93, died surrounded by family, June 5, 2013, after a short illness. The Crystal River, FL native was a long standing member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Mickey graduated from Florida State University after playing on the women's basketball team. She married Edwin Braun, and moved to Savannah where she worked for the family company, Braun Construction.
She is pre-deceased by her husband, Edwin Eric Braun of Savannah, GA, her sister, Ruth Hudson of West Palm Beach, FL and her brother James Hudson of Crystal River, FL; and survived by her son, James Donald Braun, and his wife, daughter-in-law, Judith Nash Braun, of Savannah, GA, sister-in-law Eileen Hudson of Crystal River, FL, niece Judy Smiley of West Palm Beach, FL, grandchildren James Donald Braun II Lisa Ward Braun of Atlanta, GA and Laura Braun James of Savannah, seven great-grandchildren Hudson, Georgianna, Fielding and Dearing James of Savannah, and Darden, Matthew and Davis Braun of Atlanta, GA.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at 2 P.M. St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 West 31st Street, Savannah, GA 31401, conducted by the Reverend Peter J. Hartmann. A reception in celebration of her life will be held in Hoffner Hall following the service. Family interment will be later.
In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10 West 31st Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
